2. Spraying with Bavistin/KKnowin @ 2 g/liter of water at an interval of 10 days.
Major insect/pest and Management     :     a) Aphid
Management:
1. To check the aphid damage, cut and destroy promptly all the infested leaves along with colonies of aphids the early stage of attack.
2. Conservation of natural enemies especially different ladybird beetles.
3. When the aphid population goes beyond the economic threshold level (> 50 aphids/plant), then 2-3 spraying should be done with Marshal/20EC @ 1.0 ml/L or water or Limithion at the rate of 2.0 ml/L of water at an interval of 15 days.

b) Grasshopper
Management:
1. As it is a minor pest, no control measures are adopted against this grasshopper on leafy vegetables.
2. Dusting done against aphids can control this pest as well.

c) Leaf eating caterpillar
Management:
1. Hand-picking of caterpillar in the initial stage of attack will prevent the population build up of the pest.
2. If necessary spraying of 0.1% carayl but harvest the crop after ten days of treatment.
3. In case of severe attack spray Limithion or Fifanon or @ 2 ml/L of water.
